Kick-start my rockin', rollin' heart

For the last couple of weeks, he's been spending a lot of time with Poison, getting used to having him around, in his space. He's been nursing something, a warm and liquid knot behind his ribs. He's not examined it too closely. He definitely hasn't said anything to Poison about it. Sometimes, he finds himself flustered, but he pushes it down, ignores it and, eventually, it passes.

Sort of.

They'd arranged to go out and test drive the I.D that Kavinsky had made for him. Poison wanted to go dancing and Jack can get into clubs now, so...why not, right?

So he's standing on a corner, just down from the club, waiting for Poison to show. He hadn't, entirely, been sure what to wear for something like this, so he's there in black t-shirt and jeans, one of his more fitted leather jackets, boots. He's got product in his hair. Double row of eyelashes give the effect of eyeliner.

It's weird, maybe, but...he's actually kind of nervous.

"C'mon baby," he breathes. "I wanna feel you Jack. Wanna see it." He strokes his fingers through Jack's hair and pulls him into another kiss, though he can't hold to it very long.

Jack makes a sound that's almost a whimper, almost tears when he comes, his mouth crushed against Poison's for a second like he can breath him instead of oxygen.

Poison bites Jack's lip before dragging him back by his hair to break the intense kiss. He needs to breathe - Jack needs to breathe - and he wants to see Jack's face.

The pull in his hair makes his cock twitch and he swallows, eyes closed.

"Fuck. That was amazing."

"Uh huh." He's back to just making sounds rather than words. Poison drops back to the bed, hand sliding out of Jack's hair to flop down too.

"Fuck," he sighs as a grin creeps across his face.

"Do I get marks out of ten for my first time?" Asks Jack, grinning, pulling out of Poison's body to sprawl beside him.

"Can't math right now," Poison huffs. Once Jack pulls out, Poison rolls into his side. He's already a little sore but he's good with that.

"So much for that shower though."

"I blame you."

Jack rolls off the bed and disappears into the bathroom. He deals with the condom and washes off, pausing to brush his teeth before padding back into the bedroom. He pauses in the doorway, just looking at Poison for a moment.

Poison probably looks a bit wrecked but he's okay with it. Every time he moves he feels it and it's good. He grins tiredly when he realizes back is staring at him.

"Hey."

Jack crawls into bed, nudging Poison around until he can pull sheets and blankets up over them. Now they're done he feels a little awkward; he wants to press close but he's not sure he's supposed to. He misses the easy contact of a few weeks ago but he's pretty sure he wouldn't have swapped tonight for anything, even if it's all he gets.

"Okay?"

"Mhm."

Poison rolls over to drape across Jack. His bright red head ends up on Jack's shoulder and an arm rests across his chest. Poison doesn't seen to have plans to go anywhere.

Jack reaches out to flick off the light and then, almost tentatively, he wraps his arms around Poison, one arm around his waist, fingers pushed into his hair.

He makes a soft, contended noise, stifling a yawn.

"If I make you coffee in the morning, do I get another go around?" He teases softly.

Poison snorts a laugh. "You can fuck me in the morning but I hope you don't expect a stirling performance before coffee."

"What if I let you drink your coffee first?" Teases Jack, turning his head to graze a kiss against Poison's forehead.

"Are you sure you can wait that long?" Poison grins, even with his eyes closed. His sometimes manic way of talking is slowing down. Way down. "Makin it sound kind of urgent."

"I think I'll make it," says Jack, smirking against Poison's skin. The fingers in his hair drift aimlessly, scratching against his scalp a little. He's already figured out how much Poison likes having his hair played with. "Maybe I'll do some yoga when I wake up. Meditate or something."

Poison snorted. "You do your yoga," he says with a grin. He stifles a yawn and feels himself fading. "'ll wake up when there's coffee," he promises.

He falls asleep like that, with Poison curled in his arms, his cheek resting against red, red hair. He sleeps like the dead.

Morning light filters past the blinds and Jack gently extricates himself from the bed. He pauses, for a moment, in the act of pulling on clothes he can exercise in, looking at the man still sleeping in his bed. That warm, liquid feeling has seeped all of the way through him.

He feels both giddy and terrified.

Yoga helps. He runs through his routine, enjoying the stretch in his muscles, the peace that settles over him. When he's done, he makes coffee and toast. He realises that he doesn't know how Poison likes either, so he brings a tray with him when he comes back.

Setting it down on the bed, he leans down and presses a trio of kisses against Poison's jaw.

"Morning?"

Poison rolls into the warm spot that Jack leaves behind, nearly face-down in the pillow. He has at least enough sense not to suffocate himself in his sleep.

He sleeps all the way through Jack's yoga endeavors, which is probably a shame for the view he's missing.

He sleeps deeply enough that he's a little startled when Jack wakes him up, but at least he doesn't flail. "Huh?" He looks around, a little dazed. He doesn't remember where he is for a second. Then he sees Jack, and a smile slowly appears.

"Hey," he says. "G'morning. Is it morning?" He looks toward the window.

"It's morning," says Jack, sitting cross-legged on the bed and then picking up one of the mugs of coffee, waiting for Poison to take it. "I didn't know how you take it so I bought everything in."

Poison's eyes go all soft when he sees the coffee. "The best," he mumbles as he takes the mug and holds it under his nose for a moment. He breathes the fumes contentedly, then remembers Jack said something about 'everything.' He looks at the tray and adds a tiny bit of cream, just enough to make the coffee turn a different shade, then he adds a few teaspoons of sugar.

Jack watches the whole process, amused, sipping his own coffee (black, no sugar). He picks up a slice of toast and bites into it.

"Did you sleep okay?"

"Like a rock," he admits. "Not used to that at all." He doesn't sleep that great in his own apartment. He rubs his hair as he sips his coffee, eyes drifting shut for a minute.

"Mm. Coffee."

"Did you just come a little?" Teases Jack. It's a little overwhelming, how attractive Poison is, even in the harsh light of morning, the hurried energy of last night replaced by some other, distinct feeling.

"A little," he quips back. Poison sighs happily and leans back against the headboard. He sips slowly. The coffee is still kinda hot, but he doesn't want to wait. "Thank you." There, he can be polite.
