For the last couple of weeks, he's been spending a lot of time with Poison, getting used to having him around, in his space. He's been nursing something, a warm and liquid knot behind his ribs. He's not examined it too closely. He definitely hasn't said anything to Poison about it. Sometimes, he finds himself flustered, but he pushes it down, ignores it and, eventually, it passes.

Sort of.

They'd arranged to go out and test drive the I.D that Kavinsky had made for him. Poison wanted to go dancing and Jack can get into clubs now, so...why not, right?

So he's standing on a corner, just down from the club, waiting for Poison to show. He hadn't, entirely, been sure what to wear for something like this, so he's there in black t-shirt and jeans, one of his more fitted leather jackets, boots. He's got product in his hair. Double row of eyelashes give the effect of eyeliner.

It's weird, maybe, but...he's actually kind of nervous.

Jack shakes his head.

"Been this close to," he says. There's still a sliver of distance between their bodies but it's barely there at all. He frowns. "You think that's why?"

"I can't see inside your head, I'm stabbing in the dark," he admits.

He's heard some guys say - about him, about others - that it's easier to go for a guy that's more femme, the first time. If they're going to experiment. Poison doesn't think it's true across the board, but he doesn't know.

Someone nudges against Jack from behind, which makes it easier to close that last little bit of space between them, pressing himself against Poison from thigh to chest. He shakes his head, eyes darting, down to his mouth, back again.

"It's not that," he says. "We've...been spending a lot of them together. And I really...it's great. And I keep thinking."

Oh god. He can't stop thinking.

"I like hanging out with you." In case Jack needs to hear that, though Poison feels like the fact that he rarely turns down a chance to hang out is evidence enough.

"Keep thinking what?" Poison knows he's probably pushing some buttons. But on the one hand, it's kind of fun. On the other, he really does want to know.

He pauses for just a second, intensely aware of everyone around them, of the press of bodies, the throb of the music. He licks his lips.

Fuck it.

He leans in, ducks his head to kiss Poison, soft and sweet.

It's all background noise to Poison now that he's focused. And he's almost positive Jack's gonna say something, right up until Jack's mouth meets his. Oh. Or they could do this instead of talk, he's totally cool with this.

Maybe cool isn't the word because the kiss makes him feel anything but. He's not used to kissing someone this fucking tall, for one, he ends up craning a bit, leaning up on the balls of his feet. His hands slide down, gripping Jack's shirt for balance, or maybe to keep him close, and Poison meets the kiss with a slick and easy response.

He's never been good at sweet.

And it's so easy to let the kiss slip deeper, pushing forward into it, his arm tightening around Poison's waist, keeping him pulled in close, leaning down into him as they kiss. His other hand skims up Poison's back again, fingertips just hooking over the neck of Poison's t-shirt, tugging slightly.

God, it feels amazing.

Poison, for half a second, thinks that jumping on Jack would not be the worst idea. But when he thinks of going down on the dance floor, falling over is not exactly what he has in mind. He catches Jack's bottom lip between his and gives it a quick suck before he tips his head back, breaking the kiss.

He's got that grin on his face, a little euphoric and a little reckless.

The kiss breaks and Jack is breathless, for a moment. He just stares at Poison, who looks crazy and beautiful and dangerous with that look on his face. Jack can't shake his own grin. They're still wrapped around each other, which means that there are things that Poison's got to be feeling, right then. Absently, Jack wonders if he could lift him, the way he used to imagine lifting Bex. Poison's taller, but Jack's pretty sure he could manage it.

"What?" he asks. "What's that look?"

"I have a look?" He laughs, still grinning. One hand slides up to push his hair out of his face. "Gettin' a little excited Jack?"

Of course he notices - they're too close for him not to. But at least Jack'll know he's not totally alone in his excitement. Poison leans up to kiss him again. Because it was fun the first time, and Jack's kinda got this mouth... yeah.

"You definitely have a look." He blushes, but he can feel Poison's cock pressed against his thigh so, maybe, he doesn't have to feel too self-conscious. And then Poison kisses him again and, this time, Jack's not holding back. He shifts one hand, pushing it into Poison's hair to hold him to it for a long moment.

Oh, he likes that. The way Jack grabs the back of his head to hold him in the kiss send heat sinking through him. He arches closer, like he could possibly get their bodies tighter together. He drags at Jack's shirt.

"Are we gonna make out on the dance floor?" he asks, barely pulling back enough to talk.

Poison's hair feels good between his fingers, and Jack could definitely get used to the hard press of his body. He bites his lip, leans in so that his mouth is close to Poison's ear. He feels bold and resilient, hectic and alive.

"What other options have I got?"

Poison lives for this feelings. He grins and his hands slide lower; his fingers hooked in the belt loops on Jack's pants.

"I mean, there's dark corners, there's the bathroom. Alleyway. Could break into someone's car."

He's full of ideas.

He weighs those options up in his head, ignores the voice that says apartment and bed.

"Bathroom," he says, his fingers twisting, a little, in Poison's hair. He ignores the little flutter of nerves in the pit of his stomach.

Maybe his breath catches at the twist of fingers. Oh. He swallows thickly and his grin reappears. Poison adjusts his grip, keeping hold of Jack's belt loop but pulling back enough that they can walk without tripping over each other. Weaving through the crowd takes a bit of effort and Poison resists the urge to throw elbows. That'd just be rude.

He lets Poison lead him as they thread their way through the club. His heart is thumping in his chest, his skin dancing with electric energy. He unwraps his arm, takes Poison's hand, threading their fingers together.

He squeezes Jack's hand and pushes the bathroom door open. The bass is muffled but it still makes the walls vibrate. He grins and spins to face Jack.

"Fuck you're tall," he laughs. He really does have to lean up if he wants to kiss Jack without the guy leaning over.

"6ft1," says Jack, grinning. He reckons he's got four inches or so on Poison. He tugs Poison in by his hand, his arm looping around his waist again. There are stalls standing empty but Jack can't think that far ahead. "That a problem?"

"Yeah, really tall," he asserts again. "Nope. Just new for me." Poison grins and gets good and close. "And uh, hopefully you don't hurt your neck leaning down all the time." He pulls Jack into another kiss and licks into his mouth.

"The last person I was with was five-foot nothing. You're fine." Jack opens his mouth to the kiss hungrily, willingly, making a soft sound. His fingers push back into Poison's hair like they were meant to go there.

Poison is kind of really getting into the way Jack keeps touching his hair. He kind of wants him to hold tighter. He tries to devour Jack's mouth, like there's something in the kiss he can consume.

He doesn't pull back until he has to breathe, and even then he doesn't go far. "Keep grabbing my hair like that and I'm gonna get some ideas," he breathes.

Jack kisses him back like Poison is oxygen, like he's something that Jack's been lacking, the whole time he's here. Maybe he is. When Poison pulls back, he swallows, smiling.

"Like what?" he asks, and then he tugs Poison's hair, just a little harder, just to see what his face does.

Poison looks euphoric, just for a second, as his head moves in the direction Jack pulls. The tension across his scalp makes him shiver.

Then, without warning, he drops right to his knees. He lands a bit harder than he meant to, but whatever. It occurs to him that, maybe, they should've gone into a stall or something but he's really not fucking thinking about anything right now, except, maybe, mouthing the outline of Jack's cock through his jeans.

Right then, Jack decides that he'd do pretty much anything to keep seeing that look on Poison's face.
