Kick-start my rockin', rollin' heart

For the last couple of weeks, he's been spending a lot of time with Poison, getting used to having him around, in his space. He's been nursing something, a warm and liquid knot behind his ribs. He's not examined it too closely. He definitely hasn't said anything to Poison about it. Sometimes, he finds himself flustered, but he pushes it down, ignores it and, eventually, it passes.

Sort of.

They'd arranged to go out and test drive the I.D that Kavinsky had made for him. Poison wanted to go dancing and Jack can get into clubs now, so...why not, right?

So he's standing on a corner, just down from the club, waiting for Poison to show. He hadn't, entirely, been sure what to wear for something like this, so he's there in black t-shirt and jeans, one of his more fitted leather jackets, boots. He's got product in his hair. Double row of eyelashes give the effect of eyeliner.

It's weird, maybe, but...he's actually kind of nervous.

Poison eventually climbs up to flop down on the bed next to Jack. He's grinning lazily, maybe looking like a satisfied cat or something else that can appear to be as pleased with itself as Poison looks right now. He lolls his head to look at Jack.

"You okay?"

Jack leans over and kisses him, groaning softly at the taste of come on his tongue.

"Are you going to..." His eyes dart over Poison's face. "Do you want to stay?"

He hums underneath the kiss, but then Jack asks nother one of those Important Questions.

"Yeah, sure." He gives Jack a smile and kisses him again. "Just go easy on me if I forget where I am."

Jack's grin is bright and brilliant, absolutely genuine. He sits up gingerly, swinging his legs off the bed.

"I think I'm going to shower." He bites his lip. "You want to come? I'll totally wash your hair."

"Ugh, can't I just wallow?"

Poison is still getting used to the ready availability of all this water. He knows he shoulder shower. And he's already naked so it's not like he has to make any extreme effort.

"Mm, okay. Okay we can shower."

"Come on," says Jack, standing naked beside the bed and wiggling their fingers. "Wet and slippery and everything. It'll be awesome."

"Uh huh. We'll see about that," he pouts. Poison knows he'll feel good once he's in the shower, being in water like that is a feeling he forgets he enjoys.

He follows Jack into the bathroom and leans on the wall like standing is way too much effort while Jack gets the water going.

"How're you feeling?"

"Physically or mentally?" Asks Jack, grinning, glancing over his shoulder as he turns the water on. Mostly he's just glad that Poison's still here.

"Either," he answers with a little smile. "Both." Maybe virginity is an arbitrary social construct of value, but he knows that doesn't mean people don't look at their first sexual encounters as a big deal.

"Not freaking out, right?"

He doesn't know how people see anything that's not heterosexual where Jack's from. He had no reference for how big or how small this realization is for Jack.

"Not freaking out," he says, stepping under the flow of the water, holding out a hand to Poison. He remembers something Poison had said a while ago. "Anchors, I guess."

Poison smiles small. "You're way ahead of where I was at your age, then."

He takes Jack's hand and eases into the shower. He sighs in relief and promptly leans on Jack. "There, I'm in the shower."

"Did it freak you out at first?" He asks, slipping both arms around Poison's waist and turning them so they're under the spray of the shower. He'll deal with actually washing in a bit; this is good for now.

"I was scared someone was gonna show up to fix me. Or my mom would hate me or something, I don't know. Times in general we're scary so maybe it was just a projection of all my other anxieties."

[rockabillyboy]

"Yeah," says Jack softly, and he's grateful for the extra height because it makes it easier to wrap himself around Poison a little, nose pushing into the hair behind his ear. "I guess. I just know myself pretty well? I know what I want."

"I didn't know shit about myself," he laughs. "I mean I got to the point of not giving a fuck and using this fluid sexuality as yet another fucking weapon but... Yeah. In the beginning I thought I was broken."

[rockabillyboy]

"A weapon?" Asks Jack, tugging Poison with him to lean back against the wall, holding Poison against his chest.

[afabulouskilljoy]

"Yeah. Refusing to be anything but myself, y'know? I don't know. A giant fuck you to heteronomativity and hegemony." He shrugs, moving easily as Jack repositions them.

[rockabillyboy]

"Sounds good to me."

What it sounds like to him is terrifying and exciting in equal measure. His hand skins down Poison's spine, following the trickle of warm water. He inhales, breathing in the scent of Poison's hair, his skin.

Poison closes his eyes. "Fell asleep in my shower the other day," he admits. "Just felt good to have the warm water raining on me." It gives him a sense of calm. Leaning on Jack is more comfortable.

"Does your place have a bath tub?" Asks Jack, combing his fingers through Poison's damp hair. "I kind of love it."

[afabulouskilljoy]

"Yeah, just laid down in it and passed out a little." He grins and licks a drop of water off Jack's skin. "I'll bet you do."

[rockabillyboy]

A little shiver goes down his spine at the touch of Poison's tongue. He turns his head, grazing a kiss against his temple.

"It's awesome."

"Since you dragged me to the shower, I'm pretty sure you said you'd wash my hair." He grins and gives Jack a lazy nudge. Because this is exactly how much he plans on washing if Jack doesn't take over.

Sighing elaborately, Jack leans past him and grabs a bottle of shampoo. He squeezes a little into his palm and then he moved both hands to Poison's hair, starting to massage it into his scalp.

"That's what I thought," he quips. Poison sighed contentedly and attempts to slump on Jack even more, apparently intent on going completely boneless and being generally useless. It's less effective than he's used to: Jack can probably actually hold him up.
