Once they're in the apartment, Jack drops his bag. He finds himself skittish, suddenly, which is ridiculous, but they've admitted to a lot, this morning, and it's taking a whole to settle. He turns to face Poison, starting to tug his shirt over his head.

"I need to shower."

Jack makes thoughtful noises for a moment and then nods.

"Yeah, that one looks good," he says, pressing another kiss into Poison's hair. "You get tickets, I'll get concessions?" The way Poison goes through treats, that'll come out the more expensive part anyway.

"I know myself," Poison insists. "You get tickets. You bought lunch anyway." He swats Jack towards the place he needs to buy them, then goes inside to start picking out snacks.

"Get me a Coke," says Jack, grinning. "And, like...Raisinets or the weirdo Darrow equivalent is." He buys the tickets and then trails into the cinema, pin-pointing Poison's red hair at the counter and wandering over. "What're you getting, boo?"

"Whatever these not-Milk-Duds are," he says. He likes the taste of the chocolate and caramel. "I got us a soda to share, and these for you." He passes a box of not-Raisinets to Jack, then tips his head to kiss him.

Jack takes the box of Raisinets and nudges Poison in the direction of the theatre, both of the tickets held in hand. He grins.

"I've never been on a date to a movie before."

"Never?" Poison blinks. "Are you serious? You never did the dinner-and-a-movie thing with someone?" He's stunned. Even he's done that a couple times, even if it wasn't like... traditional.

"I never really dated before, remember," says Jack. "There was one girl, who made tracks pretty quickly when she heard about Jillie. And Sienna, but she doesn't count. And things had barely gotten going with Bex."

Poison makes a face. "Sorry that I haven't been a... typical dating experience?" He does feel kind of bad, because Jack deserves that, right? Maybe he should try harder.

"Baby," says Jack, tugging Poison to a stop in the middle of the lobby so that he can look him the face. "You are everything I want, okay? Everything. So stop saying you're sorry."

"Can't tell me what to do," he says, but it comes out on the edge of a little smile, a fond look. He leans up to give Jack a kiss. "C'mon, let's go find seats."

"You love it," says Jack, because they both know that that's true. The screen is quiet in the middle of the day and it's not particularly hard to find seats at the back of the theatre. Jack picks two in the middle of a row and sits down, arranging long limbs. He's had this strange, giddy feeling since he saw Poison that morning. Doesn't seem to be going away.

Poison settles into his seat happily and arranges their drinks and snacks. That done, he turns to kiss Jack. "Hi, beautiful," he murmurs, keeping his voice quiet in the dark, even if there's only a few other people in the theater.

"Hi," says Jack, aware of how goofy his smile must be. "How're you doing, gorgeous?"

"Pretty awesome," he murmurs. He kisses Jack again, because he loves that smile. "You?"

"Yup." Jack grins, tipping his head back to look at the shadowy ceiling. "This? Was not how I anticipated my day going when I woke up."

"Well if you hadn't gone and graffitied my mailbox maybe it wouldn't've." He smiles though and kisses Jack's neck, because it's nice and exposed. "But I'm glad you did."

Poison's mouth feels like a dream against his neck. He lets his eyes slip shut.

"I'm glad I did, too," he says. "I've been planning it for a couple of days."

"It's sweet," he admits. "I mean, I almost wish you'd just told me... but I like this, too." His face warms just a bit. "To be honest... probably would've done something like that. Put it in a song or something."

"I genuinely thought you'd freak out at me," he admits, quietly, head turned so that he can study Poison's face for a moment. "I figured doing it like that at least gave you the option to not engage with it if you didn't want to."

"Scares the fuck out of me still. But I've been keeping you at arm's length and-- and I don't think that's fair. Not feeling what I do."

[rockabillyboy]

A little smile tugs at the corner of Jack's mouth.

"Tell me what feeling like you do looks like."

"Looks like?" He laughs a little. "Man... I don't know." He blushes and he's glad the theater is pretty dark, even though the movie hasn't started yet.

"I just want to know what's in your head, boo," says Jack, grazing his fingers along Poison's jaw.

He laughs lightly, almost shyly. "You already know," he says. "I told you this morning."

"I want to hear it again," says Jack, shrugging. "Never going to get tired of it."
